How do I submit a job?
Provide a protein structure either by entering a PDB ID or by uploading a structure file. Then choose whether SPELL should fetch the alignment from Pfam or use an uploaded alignment file.
Can my PDB contain small molecules?
Yes. SPELL can recognize small molecules and lets you choose which ones to keep in the workflow. If a structure contains unsupported atom types or protein-linked ligands, the job may fail.
How do I view results?
Finished jobs appear in Jobs. Open the result entry to view the stored summary and, when available, download the minimized structure.
What is displayed in the result page?
The legacy output centers on the split-site ranking, alignment context, and the result files generated by the backend pipeline.
Why did my job fail?
Common causes include an invalid PDB ID, unsupported residues, missing backbone atoms, chain breaks that are not marked properly, or incompatible small molecules.
Why does the server say Error loading pdb file?
This usually means the input structure could not be parsed, the PDB ID does not exist, or the file contains residues that the pipeline does not support.
